Grocery list for the Advocare 24 Day Challenge - Cleanse It!

 
Grocery Shopping Guide
Remember, Choice is the Key.  Do not get bored!  Have plenty of options!

10 Day Cleanse Suggestions
 
 
Recommended Portion size at each sitting is in parentheses. A double
asterisk (**) indicates the choice is unlimited.
PROTEIN!

Skinless, boneless chicken or turkey breast - fresh, not processed or pressed (palm size portion)
All fish & seafood - fresh, frozen or canned in water (palm size portion)
Eggs (2-3)
Tofu (3 to 4 oz)
Deli Chicken and Turkey that is not processed, “added” to, or “pressed/ formed together. (3-6oz)
Egg starters – egg whites (1-2 servings)
Dry roasted or raw nuts like almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, cashews, Brazil, et

 EAT YOUR VEGGIES!

 
Artichoke (1)
Asparagus (**)
Avocado

Broccoli (**)
Brussel Sprouts Cabbage (**)
Carrots (1 lg. or 1 cup mini’s)

CARBS! (these should be limited to once selection per day on
the Cleanse)
Beans/legumes – Black, black-eyed, butter, garbanzo, kidney, lentils, lima, pinto, soybeans (3/4 cup)
Hummus (1/4 cup)
Oatmeal – Old Fashioned rolled oats or steel-cut 1/2 cup dry)
Peas (3/4 cup)
Quinoa (3/4 cup)
Rice - basmati, brown, long grain, wild (3/4 cup)
Sweet potato or yam (1 medium)
DID SOMEONE SAY FAT? CONDIMENTS? HERBS?
 
 
Olive, canola, coconut, sesame oil. (1tbsp.)
All types of vinegars (**)
Braggs soy protein – to replace soy sauce. (drops)
An array of fresh and/or bottled herbs and spices for seasoning (**)
Fresh mint, lemons/limes (**)
Mustard, relish, canola mayo (1tablespoon)
Zero calorie PAM spray
AdvoCare Products for the first 10 Days of the 24 Day Challenge Herbal Cleanse - The products inside the box should be taken at the times indicated. These are not
EXACT. If you are 10-15 minutes either side of the recommended time schedule it is still ABSOLUTELY fine.
OmegaPlex - Along with the Herbal Cleanse products, it is optimal to take 4 OmegaPlex capsules
each day. You can take these all at once (always with a meal) or split them up between two meals.

Spark - Spark can be consumed throughout the day for optimal, even energy and mental focus. First
thing in the morning is a perfect time as it starts your day out right. Mid morning and/or mid
afternoon are also great times. After dinner may not be the best as it could affect your sleep.

Catalyst - This is an amino acid product that will help maintain lean muscle during weight
management and exercise programs. It also aids in muscle repair and maintaining energy levels.
Catalyst should be taken as follows: To begin, take three Catalyst 15-30 minutes before lunch and
15-30 minutes before dinner. On days that you workout, take Catalyst 15 minutes before your
workout and 15-30 minutes before either lunch or dinner.

We are starting a biggest loser weightloss challenge at work on Friday.  Until then, I am eating what I want.   On Friday, I start an Advocare 24 day challenge.  I am so excited to feel better and kick off my year.  More to come.

Church and getting ready for a cleanse!!

My Mom is in the hospital.  She was taken via squad overnight.  These are the times I question my move.

My brother and sister question her intent.  I do not.  I treat her like a child.  If she has new symtpoms, we need to treat them.  It is so frustrating being far away.  But I need to trust in God.

To get my mind off of what I cannot control, I went to Walmart to prepare for my Advocare Cleanse:

Oh Captain, my captain.

I am ready for a cleanse. A real one. Robin Williams suicide has renewed me. See...I have been depressed since I was 16. Medication. Counseling. Words of advice. I still fall into deep depressions with no cause. I am not sad. Nothing happened. It just is. My medication makes me crazy, drink, sweat, retreat,judge, hate. It is my alter-ego. I wish I was "normal." But...I am ME. I am not dull. I live, I feel, I love, I accept, I am empathetic, I am ME.

Healthy Eating and Dealing with Sabotage

Back in the summer, my Blog and Facebook accounts were hacked. Since then, I have been leery to post anything as blogs are open to the world. At this point, I do not care. As a human being, I have the right to share what I want, when I went. If people want to use my blog to manipulate then so be it. You're so vain, you probably think this blog is about you. Dontcha, Dontcha? - Kris Step down off of my soapbox. With that being said, here is what has happened in the last few months: 1. Job - I got a Compliance Consultant Job at MetLife in Charlotte, NC 2. Moved - We moved to Charlotte, NC in September/October 2013 3. Masters - I started my Masters in January. Busy, busy! With that being said, we have had some hurdles: a. My Mom has been in and out of the hospital, b. Clay has not found a job in Charlotte, and c. My eating and lack of exercise is out of control! I have not been following my Advocare lifestyle. It has been a choice and I will not have it anymore. I feel like crap. So, what am I doing about it: 1. Fitness Connection - Clay and I joined and are getting our assessment on Saturday, 2-15. I am excited!! 2. Advocare - I am getting back on track. I have never felt better than when I was an Advocare Disciple. We start hardcore on Monday, 2-17. 3. Spirituality - We are going to continue looking for a new church family. Onward and upward. Kris

Starting my 4th Advocare 24 Day Challenge Tomorrow - So excited!!

I have been stress/Holiday eating for the last few months. In the last year, I have passed a couple of exams for work, started a new job and moved from Columbus, Ohio to Charlotte, NC. Any one of those life events may cause someone to stress eat. I have always been a stress eater, so this is like adding fuel to my fire. Last week my Mom entered the Hospital and ended up on a ventilator. Since then, she has been diagnosed with double pneumonia and is starting to mend. We were home in Columbus for the last week and just returned to Charlotte yesterday. With that being said... I am so excited to start our third Advocare 24 Day Challenge tomorrow. If you would like to join us, the challenge bundle is on sale through January 21 for only 175! The average weight loss is 10 pounds and 10 inches. BUT...On our first challenge, last spring, I lost 19 pounds and Clay lost 26 pounds! Cannot wait!! I love Advocare. When I use the products, exercise and eat right...I feel like I can tackle the world. I am ready to feel this way again. So, today? Shopping. We will go to Aldi and Trader Joe's. YAY. So ready to be successful.
